Disillusionment
I
Construing the sunshine
Into the candle-light
Seeing signs
That are not more
Than facts
Of an unimpassioned
Substantiveness
See him walking
Passing by
While he is
Half a world away
Unaware of what you do
Of who you are
Every whit of any
Emitted line
Becomes a vast attempt
In a never seen
And completely forgotten
Limbo Night.
II
Optimism says
Nevertheless
The constant wish
The improbable probability
Of seeing his face again
Is a way
That turns its back
On the Limbo
And on the eternal
Disillusionment.
